A Chance to Dance
Stay tuned for updates on our “A Chance to Dance” program, formerly Darby’s Dancers. We are looking forward to continuing to serve our community with classes for dancers with special needs.
What is this program about?
A Chance to Dance is a program that provides an opportunity for individuals with special needs (ages 6 & up) to participate in the performing arts through dance education.
At once-a-week classes, dancers learn all types of dance in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. Dancers in the program gain confidence, coordination, strength and lifelong friends, all while feeling like a star. A Chance to Dance also provides volunteer opportunities for teens. Our youth volunteers learn important lessons in responsibility and friendship by providing one-on-one assistance to the dancers.
A Chance to Dance classes are taught by dance instructors with experience working with children with special needs.
